Annie Bicknell - PhD Biochemistry, Chartered Accountant

Having become a Chartered Accountant in one of the Big Four Accountancy Firms, I wanted to move to a role where I feel I made an impact on the day to day running of the business; I certainly do that here.

One of my major responsibilities is to produce the monthly and annual financial results for the aromatics unit. I liaise with our sites across Europe to understand how their individual performance affects these results. I am also responsible for a number of projects; coordinating and analysing the unit’s budget for next year and ensuring that the various departments submit their forecasts on time.

From my first day here, just seven months ago, I was given responsibilities and I feel I really make a difference to the performance of the business.
