MEng Mechanical Engineering from Heriot-Watt University

My first experience at INEOS was as an intern. I was given a project to run and was immediately exposed to some real engineering issues which challenged me to learn and develop skills I had not developed at university. The opportunity to learn from senior engineers and feel what it would be like to work here was invaluable and played a large part in my choosing a career with INEOS.

Since starting my graduate career I have hit the ground running, being involved in a planned shutdown for maintenance of our Hydrocracker plant. It has been like gaining 6 months engineering experience in 6 weeks – I don’t think there are many other graduate jobs which offer the cross-section of disciplines, technologies and learning opportunities that are available here at Grangemouth.
