AutoCAD Technician (Contract)
FPS is a 100% INEOS-owned integrated oil, gas transportation and processing system serving the central area of the North Sea.
The Falkirk based FPS SHE & Compliance organisation provides the regulatory interface, integrity management and inspection support, specialist health, safety and environmental expertise and is the focal point for the integrated safety management system including the Drawing Office.
Reporting to the Drawings Lead as part of the FPS Compliance & Assurance Team, the CAD Technician has no direct reports, but is expected to work closely with key operations and projects personnel and the leadership team as required.
To maintain the sites master drawings following project / minor plant mod delivery
To own and develop site drawing format and standards
Source of expertise for CAD
Update the master drawings for major and minor projects.
Total no. critical drawings for FPS South, (excluding loop drawings) 1600 approx.
Total no. critical drawings for FPS North (excluding loop drawings) 500 approx.
Total no. loop drawings FPS 12000, FPS North 3000.
Provide a search and print service as requested for the site for drawings
Ensure all master drawings are formatted, layered and created in line with company and international standards
Update master drawings following the delivery of a project or minor plant mod in line with 3rd party engineering dossiers or plant mods. This includes update of unspecified but related drawings.
As required re-layout master drawings to ensure legibility.
In support of continuous improvement drive initiatives for the development of the CAD environment
Input to the development of company standards for drawings management.
Auto CAD expert and Alfresco user.
Detail knowledge of company standard on Documentation Handover Requirements for Projects in accordance with Ineos FPS Information Management Practice/Procedures.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills
HNC/HND Computer Aided Design.
At least 3 years CAD experience (preferably AutoCAD)
Experience of data/document transfer projects.
Experience of organisational transition would be an advantage.
Attention to detail.
Good general level of IT awareness (use of MS Office).
Good communication skills.
