Building Services Co-ordinator - Contract 1 Year

INEOS FPS

FPS is a 100% INEOS-owned integrated oil and gas liquid transportation and processing system with a nominal capacity in excess of one million barrels per day serving the central area of the North Sea.

Oil and gas liquids from over 50 offshore fields and St Fergus flow through pipelines into FPS. FPS transports crude oil and gas liquids from offshore and onshore entry points, processes the liquids at Kinneil and redelivers to the customer Forties Blend crude oil at Hound Point and either Raw Gas or fractionated Gas Products at Grangemouth.

Job Purpose

Reporting to the H&S Specialist Team Leader, the post holder will support the INEOS FPS business to put in place systems and processes across the business to drive strong operational delivery and compliance. The role supports building ‘landlords’ coordinate Building Services such that FPS buildings and associated arrangements are suitably maintained and operated to ensure they are safe, functional, comfortable and efficient.

Principle Accountabilities

Provide specialist Building Services Coordination expertise to support FPS building landlord’s fulfil their obligations (including but not limited to):

  • Define, document and maintain a buildings improvement plan for each building based on a rigorous approach equivalent to:

  • Clarify the requirements and standards for each building to fulfil the requirements of ‘safe, functional, comfortable & efficient’

  • Carry out a ‘current state assessment’ against each defined standard to inform a ‘gaps analysis’ for each building

  • Prepare a prioritised improvement plan, present to landlord and finalise scope, timeframe and cost for improvement activities

  • Performance manage enactment of improvement plan

  • Define and describe maintainable elements and document fit-for-purpose maintenance routines with appropriate assurance to ensure each building is demonstrably safe, functional, comfortable and efficient

  • Coordinate and schedule preventative and corrective maintenance campaigns; engaging with 3rd party suppliers and trades personnel to undertake repairs

  • Introduce appropriate KPIs and performance management of Amenities service provision

  • Set up and chair regular performance reviews with Landlords and Asset Management

  • Seek cost and efficiency improvement through synergies across all FPS buildings

  • Conduct Level 1 assurance activities to verify compliance with INEOS FPS SHE standards

  • Act as the focal point for amenities and building services support to FPS 

  • Reviewing work packs and issuing permit to work requirements

Identify additional opportunities to improve the provision of building services in pursuit of buildings being safe, functional, comfortable and efficient.

Qualifications, knowledge and Skills

  • Well-developed communication skills, which are effective at multiple levels. Applying reasoning and the application of technical and project management knowledge to improve outcomes

  • Familiar with the concept of continuous improvement and performance management

  • Experience managing 3rd parties

  • Vocational higher education qualifications (HNC / HND) level or equivalent in the areas of Building Services and Management

  • Track-record of successfully managing and improving a portfolio of buildings

  • Coordinate and performance manage a diverse range of maintenance and remedial activity to demonstrate cost-effective and efficient Building Services Management

  • Highly proficient with MS Office packages
