Tank Cleaning Project
FPS is a 100% INEOS-owned integrated oil and gas liquid transportation and processing system with a nominal capacity in excess of one million barrels per day serving the central area of the North Sea.
Oil and gas liquids from over 50 offshore fields and St Fergus flow through pipelines into FPS. FPS transports crude oil and gas liquids from offshore and onshore entry points, processes the liquids at Kinneil and redelivers to the customer Forties Blend crude oil at Hound Point and either Raw Gas or fractionated Gas Products at Grangemouth.
The role of construction supervisor is critical to the successful delivery of the Dalmeny tank-cleaning project. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day to day interfaces between the various contributors to the project and will report directly to the project manager. The project has a budget of ~£2M and has an anticipated duration of 12 to 18 months.
Core areas of responsibility for the project are listed below but the successful candidate will also be expected to spend approximately 25% of their time supporting wider set piece activities within the asset.
Coordination and review of work packs created by project contractors.
Drive compliance with and input into the work planning process.
Coordination of feeds into the site control of work processes
Active participation is scope definition, risk assessment and hazard control management delivery.
Direct and primary site interface with main project contractors.
Direct and primary project interface with the asset control of work team.
Drive contractor scope delivery to budget and schedule, including challenge and verification of variances to contractor deliverables
Delivery of on-site safety tours, hazard control and positive safety behaviours
Resolution of emergent execution issues, minimising overall impact on project delivery
Knowledge and Skills
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate strong communication skills with peers and the general site workforce. A strong drive to safely deliver objectives, on schedule and to budget is required. Previous experience in tankage overhaul and working in the petro-chemical industries is essential.
The core working pattern will be a five day, forty hour week. There will be a requirement to work additional hours through extended days and occasional weekends at times of peak demand.
