E/I Construction Supervisor


INEOS, one of the largest independent global chemical companies is seeking to recruit a highly motivated professional Construction Supervisor.

Having committed to significant investment over the next few years, we now require an E/I Construction Supervisor with relevant experience in Electrical/Instrument construction and testing standards to play a key role in the delivery and support of this growth in our business.

The Construction Supervisor will manage construction of Instrument/Electrical scopes for project and turnaround events within targets for schedule, cost, HSE and quality.

  • Apply systems, procedures and standards for construction activities.
  • Lead the delivery of the construction work in the field, coordinating resources, materials, permits.
  • Direct, manage and motivate 3rd party contractors.
  • Monitor the quality of construction work, carry out punching activities and coordinate the completions process.
  • Review and approve scopes of work and risk assessments
  • Provide construction expertise and advice during design, safety and engineering reviews.
  • Monitor and control construction spend and authorize site instructions for additional work
  • Provide accurate and complete “As Built” information to the Project Manager / Construction Manager.
  • Monitor and progress against the construction plan and chair progress meetings and take action as required.
  • Provide progress reports to Project Managers / Construction Managers to monitor the delivery of projects and turnarounds.

Candidates must also have experience and understanding of the following:

  • HNC qualified or equivalent in Electrical/Instrument construction.
  • Good understanding of Electrical/Instrument  construction and testing standards.
  • Experience of refining, petrochemical or similar large industrial facilities
  • Experience of supervising Electrical/Instrument construction contractors.
  • Working knowledge of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007.
