2019/20 Human Resources Placement Intern

£19,000 salary / Based in Knightsbridge, London

12 Month contract - Summer start

INEOS is a young, leading global petrochemical company, with a turnover of over $60bn. You may not have heard of us, as we are privately owned, but check out our website to learn about us, including our culture and recent acquisitions. Make sure you look at the Graduate section too.

The placement will be based in our London Head office in Knightsbridge.

We need an ambitious, delivery focused undergraduate, to join our small Group HR team. You will work with a recent graduate and the HR Director to help deliver a number of projects focused mainly on European graduate recruitment and development. You will be involved in the advertisement of the commercial graduate scheme including organising and participating in career fairs in the UK and overseeing the design and development of the graduate materials used on and our social media platforms. You will help run the selection process for the graduate programme from the first culling stage, to organising the assessment events ensuring that high quality graduates are recruited for the European businesses. We run a number of development events for INEOS graduates that you will help organise and deliver both in the UK and Europe.

Away from graduate recruitment you will help run the leadership training held in London exposing you to a range of senior managers, as well as other ad hoc projects such as supporting the HR Director in collating data both internal and external industry information.

This opportunity will expose you to a unique and fast growing global company, in an HR function that is fast paced, entrepreneurial and delivery focused. You will get immediate exposure to senior HR professionals and senior managers across the businesses. If you are looking for an HR role in the future, this would be a fascinating insight into the sector.

You will be on course to graduate with at least a 2.1; the degree discipline is not as important as your personal attributes. You will need to be numerate and inquisitive and enjoy being challenged. You will have excellent communication and analytical skills. You will need the ability to work under pressure with confidence and have a bias for action.
