Job background/brief overview

INEOS GO Run for Fun is an international children’s fitness campaign, designed to inspire children to be more active through a 6-week educational programme leading up to a fun, short-distance running event. It has been a phenomenal success with over 320,000 children in 3,000 schools across 14 countries taking part since the initiative was launched in August 2013.

Due to its growing success, we are looking for a candidate to support the development and management of digital marketing and communications of the INEOS GO Run For Fun website, social media and educational programmes.

Principle Accountabilities of the role.

The successful applicant’s duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Develop INEOS GO Run For Fun Health & Wellbeing Programme into an independent platform for wider
  • Assist with marketing and delivery of educational programme and marketing materials as well as understanding user experience school inclusion and engagement (detached from running events)
  • Manage website and social media platforms (, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook)
  • Create and manage digital communications and social media plan across the globe in 14+ countries
  • Manage database of participating/interested schools and partners/supporters
  • Manage our new ‘Event in a Box’, offering to schools (UK before launching worldwide)
  • Liaising with event Ambassadors for project exposure and PR
  • Assist with wider marketing communications (e.g. press releases) including management of internal INEOS comms to actively engage INEOS sites and employees in both programmes

Candidate requirements:

To be considered for the role, you will need to be educated to degree level with a minimum 2.1 in marketing/media/communications, along with:

  • Experience working in marketing/PR/events delivery
  • Excellent written and spoken communication is essential
  • Good knowledge of social media mechanisms
  • Good IT are essential (Outlook, Microsoft Office, CRM, and WordPress)
  • Understanding of the primary school sector desirable
  • Ability to work flexibly and travel when required
