Maintenance Scheduler

Petroineos Refining and Trading is one of the largest independent refiners trading in Europe. This is an exciting time to join us at our Grangemouth site; we are seeking a Scheduler to join our Engineering Maintenance Team at our Grangemouth site on a permanent basis.

The key accountabilities of the role are:

To manage on a short, medium and long-term basis the cost effective scheduling of all routine and emergent tasks to achieve Refinery targets for SHE, cost, availability, reliability and quality.

To create a clear, robust, fully loaded schedule to maximize the efficiency of the resources at hand whilst also highlighting any instances where scheduling clashes may occur. The successful candidate will also be responsible for the continued measurement of the health of the planning/scheduling cycle, highlighting shortcomings and taking immediate corrective action where possible.

The Candidate will:

Have a Maintenance Background.
Experience in a planning/Scheduling role.
HNC & NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
Be fully conversant in the daily use of the CMMS – Maximo, Maximo Scheduler, Primavera.
Have a track record in delivering set piece events, e.g. plant outages/TAR’s
Oil and Gas experience is advantageous but not necessary.

Responsible for:

Providing an Integrated Asset Plan in line with legislation, national and international Standards
Build schedule in a way to maximize resource utilization and efficiency whilst also controlling capital outlay
Ensure that the Area schedule is optimized with regard to operating windows ensuring the highest level of utilization and compliance is achieved balanced against unit throughput/constraints
Key stakeholder in weekly Planning Meeting responsible for creating the Integrated Asset Plan and communicating effectively where other departments are required to facilitate success
Responsible for efficient backlog management to achieve mandatory inspection and breakdown compliance and levels
Responsible for communicating the Area schedule with operations interface and implementing it collectively ensuring buy-in to maximize efficiency, compliance and asset readiness
Responsible for measuring scheduling compliance and identifying corrective actions required.
Responsible for the smart rescheduling of any associated, incomplete or dropped work
Liaise daily with asset planners for executable work scope and feedback any shortcomings proactively 
Responsible for providing detailed plan and timeline for any high tariff or prolonged work fronts and making all Petroineos and Third Party resources engaged and aligned with the agreed priority to minimize downtime
Designated stand in for AMTL when Team Leader is off-site
