Job Purpose

Develop and agree the Power Station/Utilities maintenance plan to deliver the required asset integrity and availability 

Plan and pre-engineer all maintenance activities on Utilities to ensure safe and efficient execution of maintenance work

Principle Accountabilities

  • Drive the process that establishes the Asset demand for maintenance work for a rolling 4 weeks
  • Deliver an agreed 2 week fully engineered and resourced plan to optimise the use of resources and delivers a cost effective maintenance service to the Asset
  • Pre-engineer all planned maintenance work including ensuring all materials, Ineos and 3rd party resources and equipment are available to deliver the Utilities maintenance plan
  • Estimate all requested work, Ineos and contractor to deliver a cost effective service prior to work commencing.
  • Carry out an appropriate risk assessment for every planned job before work commences to ensure all risks are identified and mitigated against
  • Plan and prepare all maintenance activities for all Utilities outages e.g. Boilers, DA’s, pumps , pipework systems, SV’s etc to deliver safe turnarounds in agreed timescales
  • Maintain the data in the maintenance management system ( Maximo) to enable effective planning
  • Support and coach other members of the Utilities team in Maximo, and the maintenance workflow process
  • Input Asset requirements  into the site wide planning / scheduling network to optimise resource loading across the site
  • Manage weekly services and materials maintenance budget allocation and provide reports on both estimated and actual weekly spends from Maximo.
  • Plan and prepare full KPI compliance and no statutory overdue ’s.

  • Some periods of inconvenience to support planned and unplanned plant outages.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills

  • A time served maintenance background with good communication and organisational skills
  • A detailed understanding of the maintenance workflow process, Maximo and scheduling tools ( P5)
  • Understanding of the budgeting process and cost control
  • Ability to work under pressure, be proficient in computer systems, be able to network effectively with a strong bias for action
  • Ability to manage multi disciplined teams, both Ineos and 3rd Party
  • HNC and NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
  • Track record in successfully delivering set piece events e.g. plant outages, TARs
