Pipelines & Valves Package Engineer - INEOS FPS - Contract Role - Aug 2020
FPS is a 100% INEOS-owned integrated oil and gas liquid transportation and processing system with a nominal capacity in excess of one million barrels per day serving the central area of the North Sea.
Oil and gas liquids from over 50 offshore fields and St Fergus flow through pipelines into FPS. FPS transports crude oil and gas liquids from offshore and onshore entry points, processes the liquids at Kinneil and redelivers to the customer Forties Blend crude oil at Hound Point and either Raw Gas or fractionated Gas Products at Grangemouth.
The Pipelines and Valves package engineer is responsible and accountable for ensuring the CB works are executed in accordance with Company policies for Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental protection, to specification and in accordance with the agreed contract delivery schedule..
Responsible and accountable for the day to day management for the delivery and installation ofthe Valves and pipelines
Responsible and accountable for all expediting, delivery, fabrication and installation, ensuring the work is planned and executed in accordance with Company policies for Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental protection, to specification and in accordance with the contract schedule
Co-ordinate and expedite Company’s procured items, with inspectors, to ensure delivery in accordance with the agreed delivery schedule from vendors and Company’s main contractor schedule
Co-ordinate construction and mechanical completion activities review and comment on Contractor’s documentation.
Plan the fabrication / construction activities in conjunction with Company’s main contractor
Ensure work is performed in accordance with relevant Codes, Standards and Procedures and remain abreast of legislative requirements.
Proactively identify any deficiencies and propose solutions, ensuring all information is provided to the CB programme controller to aide informed decisions.
Lead delivery, fabrication and construction interfaces as required to ensure end delivery.
Support and provide regular factual progress reports to the CB programme controller.
Provide input to cost estimates and execution plans, as required
Identify potential change and assist with the input to the Management of Change process.
All deliveries, fabrication and construction related activities performed in accordance with the Project Execution Plan and Basis of Design.
Understand and ensure compliance with appropriate project technical standards and specifications.
Co-ordinate agreed construction/commissioning activities and methods.
Ensure the fabrication contractor Control of the work and risk assessment processes are adhered to execute construction activities in a safe manner ensuring the risks are ALARP
Prepare resource plans to ensure suitable resources are available to execute the works, in accordance with the agreed plan.
Input and support daily and weekly planning schedules and co-ordination meetings
Identify and co-ordinate the mobilisation and de-mobilisation of construction resources
Review and execute construction plans.
Monitor progress and report on performance on a daily, weekly and monthly basis to the CB programme controller or delegate
Ensure all work is prepared and executed in accordance with both Company and Contractor processes and procedures.
