This is an exciting time to join us at our Grangemouth site, INEOS’ largest manufacturing asset which includes Scotland’s only crude oil refinery.  The Petroineos Refinery is a joint venture between INEOS and Petrochina

Having committed to significant investment over the next few years, we now require a Polymers Support Engineer with extensive experience in creating, reviewing and re-validating Instrument and Control Standards  to play a key role in the delivery and support of this growth in our business.


Job Purpose

  • Review and re-issue of a number of the Asset Instrument and Control Standards used on the Ineos Grangemouth Olefins and Polymers plants.
  • Initially there 4 Standards which require review and re-validation of external references before they can be re-issued for comment to the Ineos Grangemouth I&C Engineering community.
  • Subsequent to this there will be further sets of Standards requiring the same attention.


Main Activities.

  • Review of existing standards, checking of current validity of reference documents and internal document cross references to produce a revised draft for the selected standards.
  • Circulation for review and collation of review comments in to new draft standard.
  • Submission of final draft to Technical Authority for approval and issue.


Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills.

  • Engineer with over 10 years experience in the application of Instrument and Control Engineering Standards. Preferably with experience in preparing standards or quality control manuals in draft form for approval and subsequent issue.
  • Fluent in the use of MS Word for the preparation of documents.
