Project Technical Clerk, Grangemouth Refinery - Permanent



Petroineos Refining and Trading is one of the largest independent refiners trading in Europe. This is an exciting time to join us at our Grangemouth site; we are seeking a Technical Clerk to join our Projects Team at our Grangemouth site on a permanent basis.

The Technical Clerk will provide support to our Projects department on multiple projects including Turnarounds (TAR’s)

Key responsibilities

Ensure all Project documents are managed in line with procedures
Provide Technical Clerk support for up to 70 projects including Turnarounds
Provide Technical Clerk support for up to 70 projects including Turnarounds
Manage Maximo population for Projects and Ad hoc requests for Asset
Update newly allocated tag numbers to Maximo, update Maximo details by interpreting data sheets or by following maintenance dossiers for Projects and Ad Hoc Asset request
Manage internal document management system for projects
Populate and index newly allocated drawing numbers in Alfresco and managing drawings register
Upload drawings and documents to Alfresco
Handle FDO drawing print service as required
Update basic project and site drawings using AutoCAD eg: borders, revisions, plot plans and similar
Manage Drawing Numbers / Cable Numbers and Junction box numbers
Production of Technical reports for Projects
Manage Department KPI’s and issuing out monthly reports
Support Completions Engineers with collation of punch lists, red line drawing and certification & KPI’s
Maintain project correspondence & project files
Support Nominated Engineer / Completion Engineer with Plant Modification cat A document collation and progression of sign offs
Manage Department Shared Mail Box

Skills/Experience required

  • Interface with all Project Teams at various levels in the organisation
  • Ability to understand Project Engineering terminology across all disciplines
  • Proactive, resourceful, ability to work on own and as part of a team, positive attitude, ability to influence, flexible approach to work and good communication skills
  • Basic AutoCAD experience
  • Strong IT Skills
  • Comfortable in working with large amounts of data
  • Experience working with document management systems such as Alfresco, Maximo and linked software (eg SAP,  Businesses Objects) – desirable
