Quality Assurance Manager - Contract

FPS is a 100% INEOS-owned integrated oil and gas liquid transportation and processing system with a nominal capacity in excess of one million barrels per day serving the central area of the North Sea.

Oil and gas liquids from over 50 offshore fields and St Fergus flow through pipelines into FPS. FPS transports crude oil and gas liquids from offshore and onshore entry points, processes the liquids at Kinneil and redelivers to the customer Forties Blend crude oil at Hound Point and either Raw Gas or fractionated Gas Products at Grangemouth.

Job Purpose

Project Quality Manager (PQM) who has single point responsibility for the quality of engineering deliverables, procured equipment materials, expediting and construction activities. The PQM Manager is responsible for overseeing the management of quality surveillance activities & expediting on the Project. The PQM provides support to the project delivery streams within the Projects through the implementation of robust quality surveillance management principles and techniques.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Implement & maintain a 'stage gate' process for all phases of project delivery
To work in accordance with the company’s management systems & processes
Approval, checking and preparation of design/engineering documentation.
Ensure work is carried out in accordance with relevant Codes, Standards and Procedures.
Provide input to cost estimates and execution plans.
Ensure technical integrity of all discipline deliverables on the project.
Report progress status to the line and function reporting lines.
Maintain and develop current awareness of relevant engineering technology & Codes and Standards.
Liaise with other disciplines, departments, project personnel and contractors.
Ensure that technical, administrative, and human factors affecting Quality are under control and these controls are orientated towards reduction, elimination and prevention of Quality deficiencies.
Manage all 3rd party surveillance activities, including inspection test plans
Prepare and obtain approval of the project Quality/surveillance plans, internal/external audit schedules and assist project management in the definition, documentation and appraisal of the project Quality systems for both Project and the contractors, as necessary.

Skills & Knowledge Required

Education/Experience

Degree qualified in engineering or equivalent.
Minimum of 15 year experience in quality management specifically in the oil and gas industry.
Experienced in both Design and Construction Projects
