SHE Coach - INEOS FPS - Contract 12 Months+


FPS is a 100% INEOS-owned integrated oil and gas liquid transportation and processing system with a nominal capacity in excess of one million barrels per day serving the central area of the North Sea.

Oil and gas liquids from over 50 offshore fields and St Fergus flow through pipelines into FPS. FPS transports crude oil and gas liquids from offshore and onshore entry points, processes the liquids at Kinneil and redelivers to the customer Forties Blend crude oil at Hound Point and either Raw Gas or fractionated Gas Products at Grangemouth.

Job Purpose

Reporting to the Set Piece Events SHE Advisor the post holder will provide SHE expertise and advice to the INEOS FPS South site teams, including 3rd party contractors to ensure compliance with legislation and delivery of site SHE performance targets.

Principle Accountabilities

  • Carry out site visits providing SHE advice to site teams to enable compliance with legislative requirements and INEOS FPS standards

  • Monitor the SHE performance across all sites, identifying sustainable actions to address non-compliances and improve SHE performance

  • Conduct site-based Level 1 Assurance activities, and support the management of the asset Level 1 Assurance Plan

  • Provide coaching/verification that INEOS FPS systems and processes are understood, implemented and complied with

  • Deliver Site SHE meetings, SHE Campaigns, and Lessons Learned sharing

  • Supports Project Engineers & Construction teams develop Const. Phase Plans and F10 submissions for notifiable projects

  • Deliver Site Inductions and Develop / Deliver Turnaround/Project SHE Inductions to communicate SHE rules and expectations

  • Support Site Turnarounds/Projects & Fabric Maintenance activities to identify hazards and participate in the development of risk reduction measures to manage the risk

  • Lead, participate in and coach incident investigations into SHE related incidents to identify root causes; making recommendations to prevent re-occurrence

  • Support and coach Control of Work risk assessments and tool box talks, to ensure all SHE hazards are identified and adequately controlled

  • Conduct SHE oversight of contractors on-site activities

  • Liaise with elected Safety Reps and provide appropriate material to them

  • Support the Asset Care (AsCare) program

  • Collate, analyse and report operations SHE Performance data

Qualifications, knowledge and Skills

  • NEBOSH Diploma/NVQ in Occupational Health & Safety

  • At least 3-5 years’ experience in a SHE related role

  • Onshore operational O&G site SHE experience preferred but not essential

  • Good communication, engagement and coaching skills

  • A passion for SHE & Compliance and for driving continuous improvement
