  • 2 separate warehouses (1 at the CLP plus 1 European) providing 15 kTes (11,000 pallets) of storage space for packed product, operated & maintained by 3rd parties.

  • Replenishment of approx. 180 bulk & packed loads per week to 11 separate storage locations across Continental Europe
  • Replenishment to any of the 9 Forward Stock locations (FSL’s) in time to serve > 800 different customers throughout 50 countries worldwide

Principle Accountabilities

  • Create and communicate optimised silo evacuation plans that control the final product from each plant through the Grangemouth stock replenishment network in order to ensure silo availability for new production.
  • Create an integrated and optimised rolling 2 week plan for the Grangemouth silo and warehouse evacuation activities, and communicate requirements to the Logistics Service Providers (LSP’s) in order to enable them to implement the storage, handling, haulage and shipping demand required.
  • Review the Production scheduler’s stock replenishment plans daily in order to ensure on-site storage, bulk container & haulage availability, and packaging machine availability are factored into their replenishment requirements and feedback any issues so that an alternative acceptable plan can be developed to meet the business needs.
  • Review weekly and monitor the LSP performance against the silo and warehouse evacuation plan, implement in-week changes as required, and discuss and implement improvements at regular performance meeting.
  • Develop revised replenishment plants in the event of unforeseen circumstances (plant shutdowns etc.), share with production schedulers and agree revised plan in order to meet business and sales needs.
  • Co-ordinate product movement to the various European storage locations list in transit reports, identify and resolve any issues in order to meet customer requirements.
  • Co-ordinate the re-packaging of product when required and agree repackaging plans with LSPs in order to meet business requirements.
  • Performance manage 3rd Party Logistic Providers in order to identify any ongoing issues and resolve these issues or raise with the Contract Manager so that a course of action can be agreed to maintain the necessary performance to meet business needs.
  • Monitor local haulage assets in order to ensure business needs are met and additional costs are legitimate.

Special Features

  • Arbitrate between the needs of the 2 separate Polyolefin businesses (PE & PP) in the event of their combined demand exceeding the stock replenishment network capabilities.
