FPS is a 100% INEOS-owned integrated oil and gas liquid transportation and processing system with a nominal capacity in excess of one million barrels per day serving the central area of the North Sea.
Oil and gas liquids from over 50 offshore fields and St Fergus flow through pipelines into FPS. FPS transports crude oil and gas liquids from offshore and onshore entry points, processes the liquids at Kinneil and redelivers to the customer Forties Blend crude oil at Hound Point and either Raw Gas or fractionated Gas Products at Grangemouth.
Reporting to the Maintenance and Planning Manager, the post holder will be responsible for coordinating safe delivery of Scaffolding, Insulation and Painting (inclusive of rope access) service (SIPs) for the allocated FPS assets. Support delivery of preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, projects and TAR’s, Interface with the asset’s planning teams to scope, plan, schedule, estimate, progress monitor, bill and close-out SIPs activity.
Deliver an integrated and cost effective SIPs service to the allocated FPS asset ensuring individual work packages are completed on time and within budget.
Oversee and endorse scaffold, insulation, painting and PFP estimates, ensuring a quality service, and that the service represents value for money.
Drive the execution of individual SIPs activities
Drive contractor productivity and identify/eliminate issues that adversely affect productivity.
Monitor contractor performance KPI’s and report back to Maintenance & Planning Manager on issues identified.
Coordinate with the asset’s planners
Lead individual SIPs task scoping activity
Support scope development and constructability reviews to ensure services requirements are optimised for each event/project/initiative.
Carry out quality inspections, review of actual costs vs. estimated costs, to ensure all services are aligned with the job requirements and represent value for money.
Influence SIPs contractor employees (by mentoring, coaching, training or other legitimate means) to deliver the required tasks/scopes in the manner and to the quality required by INEOS FPS.
Keep up to date with SIPs technology/standards and maintain/develop your own skills across the SIPs disciplines (e.g. in inspecting scaffolds for defects and in the inspection of insulation and painting for quality).
Attend monthly performance meeting with SIP’s contractor and contract owners.
Qualifications, knowledge and Skills
CCNSG Safety Passport supervisory level or IOSH Managing safely as a minimum
Demonstrable experience with a SIPs contractor
Considerable knowledge of scaffolding techniques & fully conversant with SG4:15 & TG20:13.
Extensive experience (minimum 5 years.) at supervisor level on SIPs contracts (in either a client or contractor role)
Direct experience of SIPs within the oil and gas industry and in working on term contracts, projects and TARs.
Proven track record in monitoring and driving contractor performance
Proven track record in delivering allocated targets.
Able to communicate effectively at all levels (and in particular with client planning teams and SIPs contractor employees/supervisors)
Proven track record in influencing and in delivering business expectations.
