The Grangemouth Site, based in Central Scotland, is a top tier COMAH site with a Refinery, two ethylene crackers and several other major petrochemical processes.

Having committed to significant investment over the next few years, we now require a Systems Data and Process Administrator with relevant experience within a financial accounting environment to play a key role in the delivery and support of this growth in our business.

 

Job Purpose:

The Team is responsible for the master data maintenance and performing the systems month end close activities for INEOS’ Olefins & Polymers business in Europe and Asia.

As the SAP Data and Process Administrator, you will create and maintain all master data and perform month end processes in our ERP system and associated Management Information Systems.

 

Principle Accountabilities of the role:

  • Responsible for assisting users with queries relating to the Vendor Master website.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of all Vendor master data in ERP system (SAP).
  • Assists in the monthly closing process for the ERP system to ensure the books are closed in a timely and accurate manner to meet reporting deadlines.
  • Initiate month end cost allocation processes.
  • Process all Late Journal Entries, ensuring internal controls and approval limits are adhered to.
  • Create and maintain master data in ERP and MI systems, ensuring that all existing data is current, relevant and fit for purpose.
  • Identify and remove redundant and obsolete master data.

 

Candidates must also have experience and understanding of the following:

  • HNC in relevant subject or 2 years experience in similar role within a financial accounting environment
  • Good understanding of basic principles of accountancy and book-keeping.
  • Previous knowledge of SAP would be beneficial although not essential.
  • Good organisational skills with ability to prioritise tasks using own initiative.
  • Understanding of the principles of strong internal control.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to its success.
  • Ability to cope under pressure adhering to tight deadlines.
