BACKGROUND

The Daily Mile Foundation (TDM) is a charity supported by INEOS*. Its aim is to encourage primary schools and nurseries to get children running for 15 minutes every day to improve their wellbeing and create healthy habits for life. Today 3,600 schools across 32 countries are participating, equating to 1 million children every day completing The Daily Mile.

The future potential for TDM has no boundaries. To deliver this amazing programme we are partnering with increasing numbers of high-profile organizations including governments, media, educational organisations, sports associations and world class sports men and women.

THE TDM PROJECT MANAGER ROLE

The Project Manager reports into the TDM Project Director. The job holder will coordinate and grow strategic partnership activity to achieve our global ambitious aims for TDM. They will also manage the team of regional Partnership executives and the Digital & Communications Executive. In addition, maintain regular interface with TDM USA Project Director in Houston, USA.

Main activities include:

NETWORK & PARTNERSHIP ESTABLISHMENT and MANAGEMENT:

  • Develop and deliver a detailed project plan, ensuring the project milestones are met, and objectives and outcomes delivered
  • Maintain current partnerships and establish new strategic partnerships in UK and internationally
    • Includes planning, leading regular meetings, communication with Government Departments, Educational organisations, Local Authorities and National Governing Bodies of Sport
  • Set up and maintain strong relationships with international implementation partnerships to follow TDM core principles

 

MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS:

  • Develop and implement the global marketing and communication strategy
  • Oversee Internal INEOS communications with TDM
  • Work with external agencies to deliver campaigns in UK and internationally 

GOVERNANCE:

  • Provide regular reports to TDM Trustees
  • Work with and support Project Director to provide documentation for INEOS quarterly funding and Trustee meetings and Charity Commission annual review/reports
  • Work with Project Director to manage and monitor all Legal requirements, including; intellectual property and trademark management

SCIENCE EXPERT STEERING GROUP:

  • Assist with the coordination of TDM Expert Steering Group research programme with Imperial College, London

Requirements for Role

  • 2.1 Degree
  • Experience of leading and implementing major projects, within any sector
  • Proven ability to quickly establish credibility and effectively manage relationships with multiple stakeholders in a variety of organisations in the UK and internationally
  • Strategic & analytical thinking to help create the TDM vision
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Excellent influencing and communication skills
  • Experience of managing people
  • Ability to transform creative ideas into practical reality
  • Real interest in education, sport, wellbeing and working with children
  • The ability to work flexibly and travel as required.

You will need to be proactive with a strong bias for action and a good sense of humour is an asset.
